Comp 1 Three Times a Charm

What can I say Professor Ortolano’s composition 1 class was by far one of the best colleges classes I have taken so far in my college career. I definitely came out winning at the end of this semester. This win didn’t just happen, this win is something that's been building up for months. I came out on the other side like Jameis Winston “eating a w” and it feels great.

This is eating a W.
This is called eating a W. Example Jameis Winston.

I came into this composition class with my back against the wall and my only option was to do my best to succeed, and pass the class. This class taught me to analyze but don’t do it overly, meaning when your writing don’t overthink, just write and have fun with it. Then come back to it later to revise it also, to improve your piece of art. Professor Ortolano was really good with empowering confidence in his students with their writing skills. I would say this is one of the main reasons I wrote good this semester.

This was not my first rodeo taking composition 1, it was actually my third time. I think most people would have waived the white flag after the first L. But you see, you only get what you put in. If you put in the work you shouldn’t be worried about what the outcome will be because you know you put in the preparation to succeed. I still don’t practice that much, but I did it enough this time around.

I’m referring practicing to studying. Here is the Answer.

Simple, the things that helped me succeed this semester were just doing the things I know I needed to do get the job done. Some times throughout the semester Professor Ortolano would sometimes say something to the class and ask if everyone understood what he just explained. Mostly everyone would nod their head agreeing acknowledging the fact that they do understand. Me however sometimes would not nod my head and would be thinking this makes no sense.

This song by NBA Youngboy is the inspiration behind the make no sense viewpoint when I’m in class

What i’m trying to say here is that “To know that we know what we know, and that we do not know what we do not know, that is true knowlege.” I can’t remeber the name of the author or the name of the book that the qoute is from but Proffessor Ortolano made us read a portion of one and that line stuck with me and always will. With that being said I came into this semester with a goal, and that goal is about to be accomplished.
